something about me

born in amsterdam (1986); lives in providence, ri

studied philosophy in leuven and istanbul. primarily interested in moral psychology, philosophical anthropology, and kant’s practical philosophy. currently pursuing a doctorate at brown university.

studied composition with antoine beuger, samuel vriezen, martijn padding, yannis kyriakides, petr kotík, alvin lucier, christian wolff, and richard ayres. other important mentors include james fulkerson and dante boon.

works performed in 14 countries, 41 cities to date, appeared on 4 cd’s, and discussed in the monograph experimental music since 1970 and the dictionnaire des musiques microtonales, among other academic and journalistic publications.

member of the wandelweiser composers collective; scores published by edition wandelweiser.
